How To Country – Weekly Farmers Box Program Sign Up Form
Join our Farmers Box program which guarantees community members fresh veggies each week. For approximately 12 weeks (dependent on weather), Farmers Box members will receive a box each week of the in-season produce. As the season progresses each week’s produce and quantity will fluctuate depending on what is ready for harvest.
How the Program Works
Choose from full size boxes (feeds approximately a family of 4) or half share boxes (feeds approximately a couple).
Double shares (two full sizse boxes) are also available at a discount (which would feed a large family or many hungry teenagers!)
You will be assigned two wooden, reusable veggie boxes. These boxes are numbered and stay with you throughout the season, swapping your boxes with us every week.
We offer 3 pick-up locations, Horsefly, the Williams Lake Farmer’s Market & directly at our Farm at 150 Mile House.
We will deliver your box of veggies to your desired pickup location each week in exchange for your empty box from last week.
For more information please read the full terms and conditions before signing up.
Our farm is producing over 20 types of veggies and each week you will get what’s ready for harvest!
Veggie Blessing Box
Inflation has made it hard for a lot of people to enjoy healthy produce each week. To help support those in need in our community we are offering a Veggie Blessing Box to a family in need each week!
If you know a local family that would benefit from a box of produce, please submit the name and contact information into our Veggie Blessing Box located on the farm.
Each week we will draw a name and the winner will receive a free box of healthy produce equivalent to a full-family-size box.
To prevent waste, if the family or person does not need a full-size box you can indicate that on the submission slip. Each name can only be submitted once per week.
Submit names and contact information by coming to our farm at: 3222 Horsefly Rd. 150 Mile House BC. The winner will be drawn 1 day before pick-up each week.

How long does your Farmers Box program run?

What happens if I’m away for a week?
If you’re away, you can get a friend/neighbour/whoever to pick up your Farmers Box share for you. Or, let us know that you will be away at least two days in advance and we will donate your share that week to the Veggie Blessing Box*.
If you miss the pick up time at the Horsefly location, you can retrieve your box up to 2 days later from our farm location at 3222, Horsefly Rd. 150 Mile House, BC.
What if I miss the time frame to pick up my share?
If it’s past the cut off point for pick up (see pick-up times) your share will be donated to the Veggie Blessings Box* or back to the farm, unless you have contacted us and made other arrangements.
How many people will the Farmers Box share feed?
It does vary depending on your culinary needs. Our boxes are very generous and based on our needs. We are plant-based so we go through a lot of food. The full share is enough for 4+ and the half share is enough for a couple and the double share is two full shares, which would be enough for a large family or hungry teenagers, again all depending on your personal needs.
What should I expect to find in the Farmers Box?
All depending on what’s in season but our farm usually grows; lettuce, kale, swiss chard, mustard greens, beets, carrots, turnips, rutabaga, garlic, leeks, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, squash, broccoli, cabbage, kale, potatoes, either german butter, blue russian, yukon gold or banana, a mix of herbs from dill, cilantro, parsley and more.
What do I do with the wooden veggie boxes?
Bring your empty box each week to your place of pick up, to replace the box with your full one. We rely on your weekly return of the wooden veggie box to keep your share in the Farmers Box program running smoothly. Should we not receive your box when we drop off your veggies we will be unable to provide you with your share the next week. Remember the number on your box as that’s how you will identify it each week.
How do I maintain the wooden veggie boxes?
Please remove your veggies from the box as soon as you get home to prevent spoilage in the box. You can wipe the inside down each week before you return them. Keep the boxes out of the elements in order to maintain their cleanliness, smooth interior and condition. Reasonable wear is acceptable throughout the season, however should the boxes be damaged, or missing you will not receive your deposit back at the end of the season. The boxes are finished with linseed oil.
What if my wooden box is missing or damaged partway through the season?
If your box is missing or damaged throughout the season, please let us know as soon as possible and we will replace the box to ensure your weekly share is not interrupted. We will use your deposit to cover for the new box and therefore you will not receive the deposit back at the end of the season.
Do you offer modifications?
At the present time we are not offering any modifications.
Are subscriptions cancelable and refundable?
If you need to cancel your subscription, please let us know and we will go ahead and cancel it, however subscriptions are non-refundable. If you have someone you would like to pass your subscription on to you can transfer it to someone else, if you contact us.
Anything else I should know?
If you miss picking up your box for three weeks in a row without making arrangements ahead of time, we will cancel your subscription. If you do not return your empty box we will not be able to provide you with the next week’s produce. If you do not contact us within two weeks we will cancel your subscription.
